Glen Bradley DCMHCA President
(they/Glen)
MA, LPC (DC), LPCMH (DE), LPCC (OH), NCC
Glen Bradley (they/Glen) is a somatic and Gestalt psychotherapist based in Washington, DC, and the incoming President of the DC Mental Health Counselors Association (2025-2026). Glen is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia, a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in Delaware, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio.
Before I entered this field, I worked in: government program management consulting, queer student advocacy and intersectional social justice leadership, and food and beverage service. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I moved to California for college, where I studied marketing, English, and queer theory at Santa Clara University. My journey into mental health counseling began later, but it is rooted in the same passion: building community and creating affirming spaces for those who are marginalized or misunderstood.
Glen’s work centers the here-and-now—the aliveness of sensation, emotion, and relationship. In private practice, they support queer, neurodivergent, kink, and poly/ENM people in navigating trauma, identity, and disconnection by helping them come into fuller contact with themselves and their world. Their approach draws from Gestalt, polyvagal, mindfulness-based, liberation, queer theory, and body-centered practices to invite curiosity, presence, and transformation.
As President of DCMHCA, Glen brings a commitment to community-building, professional development, and social justice advocacy. They are known for their CE trainings on queer cultural competency and decolonizing gender and sexuality in counseling. Their leadership is grounded in the belief that healing—like systemic change—requires presence, courage, and connection. Glen’s 2025–2026 vision includes building a vibrant professional network through CE events, mentorship roundtables, peer consultation, and expanded community outreach. They believe our profession is being called to meet this moment with heart, integrity, and collective action—and invite all DC counselors to join in shaping what comes next.
Glen lives in DC with their husband, two dogs, and a variety of plants in and outside the house. They spend their leisure time cooking, gardening, spending time in nature, meditating, and reading sci-fi/fantasy manga.
